Description
Tofu Rosso is one of Taifun's most popular products and with good reason. It is full of delicious Italian flavours and is perfect for use in Mediterranean cuisine.
Recommendation: This tofu can be served both hot and cold. Enjoy cold on bread, in salads or dressed with olive oil. Pan-fry briefly with rice, pasta, potatoes or vegetables.
Recipe: Tofu Bolognese with Tofu Rosso (4 servings)
Ingredients:
- 400 g Tofu Rosso
- 1 onion (medium)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 stalks of celery
- 5 tomatoes
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano and thyme
- 1 teaspoon powdered vegetable stock
- Salt and pepper to taste

This is how easy it is to make a main course for the whole family:
- Mash the tofu rosso with a fork.
- Finely dice the onion, garlic, carrots, celery and tomatoes. Finely chop parsley without stalks.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the tofu crumbs briefly.
- Add the chopped vegetables except for the tomatoes and parsley, and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste and fry briefly.
- Deglaze with the vinegar and add diced tomatoes.
- Season with dried herbs, salt and powdered vegetable stock.
- Reduce the heat and simmer gently for 15 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare pasta according to the instructions on the packet.
- Finally, season again with salt and pepper.
- Serve with the cooked pasta and garnish with chopped parsley.
