Description

The Fermented Pepper by Stay Spiced! is made in the traditional way in the Puducherry region in southern India: Fully ripe peppercorns are coated lightly in natural sea salt immediately after harvesting and dried in the sun. The salt preserves the peppercorns and at the same time gives the fermented pepper a fine salty note. During the drying process, the fermentation process begins automatically and the pepper gets its pleasantly mild, fruity sharpness.

Tip on usage: Fermented pepper tastes particularly delicious when freshly crushed or ground on roasted meat. It also gives a very special aroma to a classic pepper sauce.
