Description
The "Munachedda" bean variety by Sapore di Sole is quite different in appearance from the average bean. In striking colours of creamy white and black, the beans resemble little pandas or elegant game pieces. It is a centuries-old variety from the Basilicata region in southern Italy.
A distinctive hearty taste and a tender bite make this rarity a great ingredient in many dishes. From sowing and harvesting to shelling and sorting, this climbing bean variety is carefully cultivated and processed by hand.
Tip: This variety might look too pretty to eat but it tastes absolutely delicious. Use it to make delicious vegan spreads and sweet or savoury filings.
