Description
The Styrian pumpkin oil is known far beyond our borders. The heavy clay soils in Raabtal and the warm, almost Mediterranean climate, provide the seed with a rich flavour and a pleasant nutty note.
In organic farming, seeds that have been tried and tested are used apposed to hybrid seeds. The crop rotation method is used i.e. the pumpkin is only seeded on the same field every 4 years.
Thus, the soil has time to breathe and variety in the landscape is maintained.
