Description
Pinot Noir from California's Napa Valley? Sure, why not? However, we must point out that the grapes for this wine are not just from Napa Valley but from surrounding, cooler regions as well.
People familiar with Bread & Butter's wines will know that this is the "Everybody's Darling" Pinot Noir version. The wine is an ideal introduction to the world of US Pinots which differ in many criteria from those from Europe. This wine is a little darker in the glass but still has a transparent shimmer. A bouquet of strawberries and raspberries on the nose, as well as very clear hints of vanilla and roasted aromas due to ageing in barrique barrels. The first sip immediately reveals the origin of the wine: lots of fruit, juicy and strongly structured. The aroma of wood is very noticeable with clear vanilla and a hint of extract sweetness plus gentle tannins. A wine that invites you to drink it. Lively and easy to drink - a versatile pairing with food including pasta, pizza, lamb or game meat.
