Description

The Ried Köhlberg vineyard in the far western Weinviertel borders the Kamptal. Only fully ripe grapes were harvested by hand from 35-year-old vines for this wine. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was allowed to mature in large wooden barrels. This makes it very balanced and elegant, but without losing any freshness.

In the glass there are aromas of vineyard peaches and ripe apricots. Juicy, melt-in-the-mouth extracts meet the palate. The beautifully textured body has a pleasant mouthfeel with delicate fruit sweetness. Glides smoothly and leaves a tender Mona Lisa smile on the finish. Great ageing potential for another 6-8 years.

Pairs well with fish and pork with Mediterranean vegetables or after a m. A great wine for the money.
