De Bolster Turnip Greens Sprouts

Turnip greens have been grown since ancient times, particularly in the north. As they germinate very quickly, they are ideal for growing at home. These are edible after just 5 days. The plant is easy to grow and has a very mild, fresh flavor. Rich in minerals and trace elements, and the vitamins A & C. The seeds can be planted in soil and can be harvested over a few weeks. They can also be used in purees or gratins.

Soak the seeds overnight, rinse them in a colander and sprinkle them onto a seed tray. Fill the tray with water and place in a well lit place at room temperature. Rinse several times a day and fill it with fresh water.
