Black sesame seeds have a special status in Ayurveda. The special seeds are used as delicious topping on many Ayurvedic dishes.

Enjoy black sesame seeds with sushi, tofu, pastries, dumplings, vegetables or sprinkled over fruit salads, yoghurt or muesli.

Tips: According to Ayurveda, black sesame should not be heated, but eaten raw. You can also use it in breadcrumbs or as a topping on home-baked bread. Mix the sesame seeds with coarse sea salt and grind (you can roast the seeds beforehand for more flavour), then sprinkle over vegetables, rice or pasta or sprinkle over bread and butter.
